Ejtőernyős kémkutyákat küldenek harcba

A Brit Hadsereg Különleges Légi Szolgálata kutyákat is bevet az akciókban a Közel-Keleten. Az ebeket ejtőernyősökkel küldik a harctérre, ahol feladatuk az ellenség rejtekhelyének felderítése lesz.

Elfogták Radovan Karadzsicsot

Õrizetbe vették Radovan Karadzicot, az egyik legjobban keresett hágai vádlottat. A népirtással, valamint háborús és emberiesség elleni bűnökkel vádolt volt boszniai szerb elnököt Szerbiában fogták el. A több mint 12 évnyi bujkálás után elfogott Karadzicot még az éjjel kihallgatta egy bíró Belgrádban. A bonyolult jogi eljárás miatt hónapokig tarthat, amíg a 63 éves férfit kiadják Hágának.

Eltemették a hősi halott tűzszerészt

Katonai tiszteletadás mellett temették el hétfőn délután az Afganisztánban hősi halált halt Nemes Krisztián tűzszerészt falujában, a Győr-Moson-Sopron megyei Magyarkeresztúron.

Pályára irányító tábor – roma fiataloknak

Nehéz megtalálni az ócsai katonai gyakorlótéren a járőrversenyen részt vevő csapatokat, hiszen ahhoz, hogy mind a tizenegy ellenőrző pontot megtalálják, legalább tizenöt kilométert kell gyalogolniuk az erdős-bozótos területen. S persze eltévedni sem túl nehéz…

The ‘Nuclear Weapon’ of Hungary

Though it is a less known fact, but our country has a ‘nuclear weapon’ as well, or more precisely a Soviet intercontinental ballistic rocket which can carry a nuclear warhead. The weapon arrived to the Kecel military technique park of MoD Institute and Museum of Military History three years ago in a defused state and with all the important parts uninstalled, and it is still exhibited there.

‘Summerfest’ With Soldiers

It is a tradition dating back more than a decade in Tata that on the weekend nearest to the summer solstice a ‘summerfest’ is organized by the shore of Öreg-tó (Old Lake). The corps of the Hungarian Defence Forces deployed in the city, ’György Klapka’ Infantry Brigade participates in the Festival of Water, Music and Flowers almost every year.

“I’ll Never Forget That Sight As Long As I Live”

A ‘mottled’ two-seat civilian aircraft is an unusual spectacle at the Szolnok military airfield, among camouflage painted transport and combat helicopters and training aircraft. But this summer it is an everyday picture at ‘József Ittebei Kis’ Helicopter Base. At least it will be until mid-August, since the Hungarian Defence Forces organize their traditional career orientation aviation camp at this site. And the ZLIN-42, shining with red and yellow, is one of the aircraft used by the camp.

There Is A Bomb For Every Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician

Explosive ordnance disposal technicians are superstitious people. They believe somewhere there is a bomb for each of them, waiting only for them. Those who are lucky will never find it and may retire in peace at the end of their career. Posthumous Major Krisztián Nemes, who died heroically in Afghanistan on 12 July, was not among the fortunate ones.
