As the last step of the preparation of almost one and a half months, the knowledge of the shortly to Kosovo travelling soldiers was put to the test in a closing exercise in Hódmezővásárhely. The members of the KFOR-20 HUNCON will serve in the Tactical Reserve Battalion (KTRBN) of the KFOR mission. The main task of the subunit is ensuring road control, and performing continuous presence patrol activity. Sometimes a situation may arise however, when the Contingent’s Crowd-and-Riot-Control (CRC) capability is required. They demonstrated the proper control of such situations in the Hódmezővásárhely barracks.

Major Szabolcs Rácz, the Commander of the 20th Rotation planned, in reply to our question, said that the situation of peace is unstable in Kosovo at present, that’s why they have to be prepared, that on any of the days of their six-month-tour of duty abroad they might receive such alerts, which they must be able to respond immediately with appropriate force. "I am satisfied with the performance of my soldiers. They are motivated, and did well at each session. The Contingent’s personnel are prepared and will be able to accomplish their mission in the area of operation (AO)" – Major Rácz pointed out.
