Szöveg: Gábor Kálmánfi | 2016. november 22. 9:00Speaking at the opening of the 4th Joint CSEL Course International Week held at the HDF Recreation, Training and Conference Center on Monday, 14 November, Brig.-Gen. Tibor Bozó, the commandant of the Hungarian Defence Forces NCO Academy emphasized that it is very important for command senior enlisted leaders to share their experience time after time with senior members of NCO corps of allied nations.
According to Brig.-Gen. Tibor Bozó, besides exchanging experience at the international level, English language practice is also essential for all command senior enlisted leaders, as Hungary is a member of NATO and the European Union. He also pointed out that NCOs have a highly significant role in the armed forces.
“In addition to good officers, there is a need for good NCOs as well, who are developing continuously and perform their duties professionally, in the spirit of Hungary’s NCO traditions in international environments", underlined the commandant.
While giving Chief of Defence Gen. Dr. Tibor Benkő’s regards to the course participants, CSM István Kriston, the command sergeant major of the Hungarian Defence Forces said that NCOs must meet high standards, but at the same time, they also receive education of the highest possible level. Speaking briefly about the four years of the course so far, the command sergeant major pointed out that NCOs have increasing responsibility, and they must continuously adapt themselves to this situation.
“The course, and the international week in particular, will be a great help with that too, as its main goal is to make everybody step out a bit from their comfort zone in terms of mentality and enable them to think out of the box. Those sitting here are good leaders, but they can become even better by following the just mentioned guideline", said the command sergeant major of the Hungarian Defence Forces.
The 4th Joint Command Senior Enlisted Leader Course involves 18 foreign senior NCOs (NATO ACT, ACO, US EUCOM, US Army Europe, NATO School Oberammergau) as well as 40 Hungarian command senior enlisted leaders.
