US Defence Attaché and His Deputy Visit HDF Unit
Szöveg: Capt. Agnieszka Németh-Zsohár | 2013. július 8. 9:06Col. Mark Karas, the defence attaché of the United States of America and his deputy, Lt.-Col. Bradley Hocevar visited the HDF 1st “Honvéd” Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Warship Regiment on Thursday, June 27.
During the visit, the guests were first introduced to the structure and task system of the unit, and then they were shown the “collection" of several hundreds of disarmed UXOs inside the EOD study room, and watched a display by the EOD robot and the explosive detection dogs (EDDs). Besides, they learnt about the EOD patrol cars and the new, Hungarian-made UNIMOG vehicles. At the end of their program, the guests boarded an AM warship of the unit and took a short trip on River Danube.
