The Eighth Troop Rotation To Depart

The farewell ceremony for the troops of the 8th rotation of the HDF Provincial Reconstruction Team was conducted in Tata, in the parade ground of the 25th ‘György Klapka’ Infantry Brigade of the Hungarian Defence Forces. General László Tömböl, the MoD Chief of Defence Staff was also present at the event.

C-17 Program Discussed By The Defence Committee

The Defence and Internal Security Committee of the National Assembly held its current session in Pápa, in the community arts centre of the air base. The committee discussed only one agenda point: the MPs were dealing with the implementation stages of the C-17 program. The Ministry of Defence was represented by a delegation led by State Secretary Dr. Károly Füredi.

Unconventional History Class For Sick Children

The teachers of the Ministry of Defence Institute and Museum of Miltary History (HM HIM) held an unconventional history class at the Tûzoltó Street Children’s Clinic No.2 of SOTE (Semmelweis University). The heritage hussars, artillerymen, grenadiers, and infantrymen wearing period uniforms and weapons were talking with the children who are undergoing treatment at the clinic.

The First OMLT Has Accomplished Its Task

A welcome home ceremony was held in the main square of Szolnok, where the 55 troops of the first ISAF Operational Mentor and Liaison Team (OMLT) returning from the Afghanistan mission were greeted. The troops have performed well and set very high standards for those who will follow them.

The Symbol Of Ultimate Reconciliation

The memorial erected in the village of Jászszentandrás to honour the memory of the crew of the British bomber that crashed in August 1944 was dedicated with all due ceremony. It was unveiled in the presence of diplomats of the concerned states by Minister of Defence Dr. Imre Szekeres and Mr Ferenc Banka, the mayor of the village.

Young Soldiers Sent To Death Can Find Final Rest

Minister of Defence Dr. Imre Szekeres dedicated a Second World War memorial in Küngös. In 1945, the Margit (Margaret) Line stretched near the small Veszprém county town, where the Germans wanted to stop the repeated attacks of Soviet troops. Nineteen Hungarian soldiers fell in these battles.

Competition Of The Masters Of Flavours
