Ambassadorial Visit to the Hungarian Contingent

After the reception, the guests observed the complex marksmanship training sessions conducted by the contingent on a designated range. After arriving from the range, the delegation had dinner together with the personnel, and then the ambassador held a short presentation for the officers and the NCOs of the contingent and the company headquarters, in which he placed the main emphasis on Hungarian–Estonian–Finnish relations.

The next day the guests observed a squad-level tactical demonstration, during which the rifle squad carried out a maneuver to defeat a minor enemy force. In what followed, the delegation and the designated personnel of the Hungarian contingent laid wreaths at the grave of Hungarian POWs in the local cemetery of Valga, and at a monument to István Báthory in the town center. The mayor of Valga also attended the commemorative events.
