Soldiers Competing on Sports Grounds and in the Kitchen
Szöveg: Lt. Beáta Cs. Sárkány | 2017. augusztus 20. 7:03The 16th rotation of the HDF KFOR Contingent (KFOR-16 HUNCON) recently held a sports day in Camp Novo Selo. Those who devoted this day to activities were not disappointed at the last weekend of July.

Eight teams entered the football championship, and the same number of teams were competing on the volleyball court. Besides team games, the events included table tennis, table soccer, darts and bench press. The winner of the bench press competition achieved a 170-kilogram margin of victory.
In addition to sports competitions, the fans of gastronomy participated in a cooking contest involving six teams, and the winner was a great classic dish, the Szabolcs stuffed cabbage.
During the announcement of results, beyond recognizing the first three placed competitors, the organizers also awarded special prizes to the top scorer of the football championship and the best goalkeeper. The day closed with a joint dinner, where besides the Bakony stew, the soldiers had opportunity to taste the meals prepared at the cooking contest.
