15 Years – 15 Laps

A good turn-taking is crucial…
“Over the last 15 years, a number of service personnel from our organization have participated or are currently participating in various NATO missions. The Hungarian participation further strengthens the international role and recognition of the Hungarian Defence Forces, and the lessons learned in foreign missions help the training of our soldiers", the lieutenant-colonel said.
In addition to the Veszprém-based personnel of the radar regiment, the entrants of the memorial run included teams from the radar companies of Medina, Juta and Kup. Quite appropriately, seven teams ran a 15-lap relay race (nearly 10 kilometers) on a designated running track in the area of the Kossuth barracks.
The team of the gap-filling radar company proved to be the fastest, while the team of the support company came in second.
In connection with the memorial run, the soldiers filled out a NATO quiz, and as it turned out later, all of them got the correct answers in general
