Attachés in the Logistic Centre
Szöveg: Vivien Takács | 2015. szeptember 30. 9:00The defence, military and air attachés accredited to Hungary paid a visit to the HDF Logistic Centre, Budapest on Friday, September 25. They were given a detailed introduction to the unit.
The members of the Budapest Military Attaché Corps (BMAC) were received by Col. Kálmán Zsigmond, the Chief of Staff of the Centre in the building on Soroksári Road, then the Hungarian soldiers gave them presentations to introduce in detail the story and establishment of the HDF Logistic Centre and its main scope of activities.
Among other things, the guests were introduced to the logistic director’s office, the military technology directorate, the transportation department, the logistic directorate, the accommodation department and were informed about the work of the resource and cost planning department. In addition, the hosts introduced them to the logistic operations and planning department, to the activities of the unit in foreign missions and its international relations.
One of the main functions of the HDF Logistic Centre is to provide continuous supply of military equipment and materiel to the MoD and HDF organizations. The barracks housing the unit established two years ago is named after Gen. Baron Samu Hazai.
