Hungarian Gold Medal at the Parachute World Cup

Based on information obtained from the press service of non-Olympic sports on July 16, the fourth round of the accuracy landing competition in the World Cup series took place in Altenstadt, Germany where the Hungarian parachutist, a member of the national team tied with an Italian and a Slovenian competitor for the first place. Roland Olenyik was placed fifth in the same round within the junior classification.

Capt. Tamás Bánszki is one of the most successful Hungarian parachutist sportsmen. Last March, together with 12 other members of the Hungarian Defence Forces national parachute team, he received a memorial plaquette from the Minister of Defence, in recognition of his excellent results.
