This meeting, which follows other similar ones that General Figliuolo has held with other regional security stake-holders in a comprehensive approach to the Kosovo security situation, was the first with Mr. Demolli, since he has been appointed Minister for the KSF.

The meeting was the opportunity for General Figliuolo to congratulate Minister Demolli on his appointment as Minister for the KSF, and to confirm the continuation of KFOR cooperation with KSF within its current mandate. In particular, KFOR Commander highlighted the excellent results reached by the KSF in the field of Explosive Ordnance Disposal, improving the safety and the security for the benefit of the entire Kosovo population.

KFOR Commander and the Minister for the KSF agreed on the importance of KFOR efforts in contributing, as the third responder, to support Kosovo Police, EULEX and all local and international organizations and in maintaining a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement throughout all Kosovo.
