Medal Parade in Sarajevo

This is well reflected in the fact that the 18 members of the reception support detachment participated in the traditional medal parade, which was organized by the EUFOR HQ on December 18. The event symbolized that the soldiers have successfully completed their six-month tour of duty in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Although there is still one month to go before the 11th rotation of the contingent returns home, in his speech delivered at the medal parade, Maj.-Gen. Dieter Heidecker, the commander of EUFOR praised the high professional standards and cooperative skills of the personnel, including the Hungarian troops and pointed out that the mission continues to play an outstanding role in maintaining stability in the country.
After the speech, Maj.-Gen. Dieter Heidecker and Brig.-Gen. Péter Ernő Siposs, Chief of Staff EUFOR pinned the ALTHEA medals onto the Hungarian soldiers’ uniforms.
