They were accompanied by CSM István Kriston, and CSM Tibor Négyesi, command sergeant majors of the HDF and HDF JFC, respectively. The visitors were welcomed by Brigadier General Imre Lamos, the commander of the Base.
The event started with a short introduction to the Base, the HDF Peace Support Training Centre, the HDF 25/88th Airmobile Battalion and the HDF 34th László Bercsényi Special Operations Forces Battalion. The distinguished guests had a look at the air assets operating from the base, and were given a presentation of the equipment used by the latter two units. They then took part in a short shooting range exercise and tried training on the NFTC simulator, which demonstrated some of the training processes of the army and the air force.
After a tour of Szolnok Aviation Museum, CSM Kriston gave a talk emphasising that the common historical background and the Polish–Hungarian friendship spanning centuries present a solid basis on which to build closer relationships between the two nations and to share our experience about NCOs and the NCO development strategy in the future.
