Day of the Hungarian Defence Forces in the Sinai Peninsula

“On this day, we pay tribute to our forebears who defended our country heroically, and celebrate our soldiers and all Hungarian citizens who have at heart the noble cause of the homeland and national defence” – said Lt.-Col. Géza Ócsai, the commander of the Hungarian contingent serving with the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) at a staff meeting held on May 21, the Day of the Hungarian Defence Forces.

MFO Force Skills Competition – Hungarian Success

The Hungarian team won the third place overall in the MFO Force Skills Competition on March 18. Never in the history of the mission in the Sinai Peninsula has a Hungarian team been placed in such a high category of achievement at the biggest MFO competition.
