Commemorating the Third Battle of the Strait of Otranto

On May 12, traditionalists of several nations held a commemoration at the memorial plaque in Fort Punta d’Ostro, Prevlaka Peninsula, Croatia to mark the 95th anniversary of the third Battle of the Strait of Otranto. Led by Brig.-Gen. Péter Ernő Siposs, Chief of Staff/Senior National Representative at EUFOR HQ Sarajevo, a group of Hungarian soldiers also attended the ceremony.

General Shirreff Expresses Satisfaction with EUFOR Exercise Results

Gen. Sir Richard Shirreff, the Operation Commander of EUFOR ALTHEA paid a visit to HQ EUFOR in Camp Butmir, Sarajevo between February 13 and 15. EUFOR Commander Maj.-Gen. Robert Brieger received the general with military honors.

After Snowfall: EUFOR Supports Bosnia-Herzegovina

The heavy snowfall in early February led to a serious crisis in Bosnia-Herzegovina (as well): the record amount of snow almost completely paralyzed the country. Setting an example to the local authorities, the EUFOR troops started providing assistance to the civil institutions and citizens, earning recognition from the local population and the media.
