Preparing for the Kosovo Mission

Pre-deployment training is in full swing in the HDF 5th Bocskai István Infantry Brigade, where more than 300 soldiers are preparing for the Kosovo mission. Drawn mostly from the personnel of the brigade, the 16th rotation of the HDF KFOR Contingent is going to start its service in the Western Balkans country early next year.

Brave Warrior 2016 – Training in Full Swing in the Bakony Hills

Over the last week, the recently started Brave Warrior 2016 military exercise focused on individual and squad-level training. The soldiers of the 3rd Bercsényi Miklós Infantry Battalion of the HDF 5th Bocskai István Infantry Brigade are now preparing for the execution of platoon- and company-level complex tasks on the central military training area and range of the Hungarian Defence Forces.

Start of Exercise Brave Warrior 2016

The soldiers of the HDF 5th Bocskai István Infantry Brigade went on exercise again in the central military training area and range of the Hungarian Defence Forces. Having started these days, exercise series Brave Warrior 2016 is now being conducted in the region of Várpalota and Hajmáskér, and will last for more than a month.

Homecoming Ceremony of Fifteenth Rotation in Debrecen

Brig.-Gen. Dr. Gábor Böröndi, Land Forces Chief, HDF Joint Force Command welcomed the troops of the 15th rotation of the HDF EUFOR Contingent at a homecoming ceremony held in the Kossuth barracks, Debrecen on Monday, February 2. During the last six months, 30 members of the nearly 150-strong contingent served in Camp Butmir, Sarajevo, while the rest of the contingent was placed on standby and assigned duties to be carried out in Hungary.
