Start of Exercise Brave Warrior 2016

Sárkány | 2016. szeptember 7. 9:00The soldiers of the HDF 5th Bocskai István Infantry Brigade went on exercise again in the central military training area and range of the Hungarian Defence Forces. Having started these days, exercise series Brave Warrior 2016 is now being conducted in the region of Várpalota and Hajmáskér, and will last for more than a month.

Following the deployment and encampment at the weekend, the subunits and headquarters have started working in the field. While the units of the 3rd Bercsényi Miklós Infantry Brigade are conducting a squad-level cohesion building training, the staff of the 39th infantry battalion is carrying out a computer assisted command post exercise (CAX-CPX) in the Várpalota Simulation and Training Centre.
The initial phase of the exercise focuses on training and establishing squad-level and then platoon- and company-level cohesion among the subunits, during which the soldiers are getting ready for executing the final complex exercise coupled with company-level live fire training.
As part of the exercise series, the soldiers are going to participate in a joint training event together with the subunits of the 2nd Cavalry Regiment of the United States Army Europe (USAREUR).
