A Zrínyi Miklós Katonai Akadémia története 1980–1989

Az 1980-as években minden korábbinál nagyobb ütemben folyt a Zrínyi Miklós Katonai Akadémiának a kor magyar felsőoktatási színvonalára emelése. Az irányított reformfolyamatok eredményeként az évtized közepére egyetemi rangot érdemelt ki, egyetemi doktori fokozatot adományozhatott, s a magyar egyetemi közösség megbecsült tagjává válhatott. Az akadémia vezetése és a teljes személyi állomány maximális odaadásának köszönhetően és a folyamatos korszerűsítések eredményeként a Zrínyi Miklós Katonai Akadémia minden megrázkódtatást elkerülve teremtette meg a rendszerváltást követő viszonyok közötti töretlen továbbműködés, a NATO-akadémiák közösségének egyenrangú tagjává válás, illetve a Nemzetvédelmi Egyetemmé való átalakulás feltételeit. The History of the Zrínyi Miklós Military Academy 1980-1989

In the 1980s, the raising of the Zrínyi Miklós Military Academy to the Hungarian higher education level of the era gained a much greater impetus than ever before. As a result of the directed reform processes, the institution deserved the university rank by the middle of the decade, was authorized to award university doctoral degrees, and became a respected member of the Hungarian universities’ community. Thanks to the complete dedication of the Academy’s leadership and of the whole staff, as well as the continuous modernization, the Zrínyi Miklós Military Academy was able to avoid all convulsions in creating the conditions for the smooth ongoing operation amongst the circumstances following the change of regime, for being recognised as an equal member of the NATO academies’ community, and for the conversion to the National Defence University. This richly illustrated book is a tribute to this community’s performance.
