Pursuant to the decision of the Hungarian Parliament, the HDF Provincial Reconstruction Team began its mission in June 2006, under the command of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), Regional Command-North (RCN). Besides the Ministry of Defence, other ministries also actively contribute to the work of the HDF PRT.

Flood Preparations In Baghlan

In the Hungarian camp in Pol-e Khomri, Colonel Gábor Boldizsár, Commander, HDF Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) and Monshi Majid, the Governor of Baghlan province handed over to the representative of the Afghan Ministry of Rural Development one thousand gabions with which they can prepare for the spring floods in the province.

Visiting Hungarian Troops In Afghanistan

In the last days of March the Hungarian defence minister and his delegation paid an official visit to Afghanistan, where they met the soldiers of the Hungarian PRT in Pol-e Khomri and the troops serving at the ISAF Regional Command North and the National Support Element.

Cougars Activated In Afghanistan

The MRAP Cougar armoured vehicles supporting the EOD unit of the HDF PRT have been activated. Thanks to the special armour, the protection capabilities of the compartments ensure the safety of our EOD specialists and soldiers.

They Work For A Safe, Strong Afghanistan

The eighth rotation of the HDF Provincial Reconstruction Team (HDF PRT-8) has taken over the area of responsibility of Baghlan province with due ceremony in Camp Pannonia, the headquarters of the Hungarian contingent in Pol-e Khumri. The new team will continue the successful developments and projects.
