Szöveg: Capt. Piroska Kozák | 2016. október 24. 9:00In the first half of October, the companies of the 15th rotation of the HDF KFOR Contingent (KFOR-15 HUNCON) took part in various live fire events and marksmanship training in KFOR.
The US soldiers serving with the Multinational Battle Group East (MNBN-E) stationed in Kosovo instructed the infantrymen of the Hungarian contingent in the use of weapons currently in service with the US military. Besides, the designated personnel of the KFOR Tactical Reserve Manoeuver Battalion (KTM) participated in simulation marksmanship training.
In both cases, the shooting practices started with a briefing, and then the trainees familiarized themselves with the weapons employed during the training and practiced their proper use. After the preparatory phase, the soldiers under training tested the M4A1 carbines in different firing positions. During the situation marksmanship training, they fired M16 assault rifles fitted with built-in modified electronic devices, which provides the soldiers with an excellent opportunity to hone their shooting skills.
