József Kovács’s work in his position, pointing out that over the last 18 months the general has convinced everybody of his outstanding human and leadership qualities. Speaking about Maj.-Gen. The Defence Minister spoke highly of the work done by the HDF JFC during the last one and a half year, saying that its staff ensured the professional task execution of the HDF troops in missions abroad, which has earned recognition from all of our allies. By way of example, Dr. Csaba Hende referred to the very successful Hungarian–US military-to-military relations, stressing that the US material support signals the excellent performance of the Hungarian troops.

In his farewell speech, Lt.-Gen. József Kovács said that a new chapter is about to open in the life of the HDF JFC. He added that although the Command closes a successful year, it must always “seek new ways". Maj.-Gen. László Domján pointed out that the power of the Hungarian Defence Forces lies in the human resource, and said he considered the retention of this resource one of the most important professional tasks for the next year. Pursuing a soldier-centric policy should be a priority in all circumstances.
