One Team, One Mission

The co-operating countries (Poland, Slovakia, Czechia, Croatia and Hungary) assigned to the Visegrád Four European Union Battle Group (V4 EUBG) participate in the Common Challenge 2019 exercise in Deba, on the second largest drill ground of Poland, in order to prepare with about two thousand troops for the standby duty starting on 1st July.

At the opening ceremony, Brigadier General Wojciech Grabowski, the director of the exercise in his address, emphasised that the nations participating in the service are ready to demonstrate their helpfulness and interoperability, wherever duty may call them. As he put it: “one team, one mission".

The Hungarian soldiers are represented in large numbers in the different positions of the Battlefield Command Headquarters and the Joint Logistic Supply Element, and besides they also assume a leading part in the leadership of the exercise.

The goal of the exercise is to prepare the soldiers of the battle group for the crisis management operations, and to be interoperable with other nations during the standby service starting in the second half of the year, and to acquire the “Full Operational Capability" (FOC) certification.
