Appointment and Promotion of Generals
Szöveg: László Vastagh | 2011. március 7. 9:31On the occasion of the approaching national holiday, President of the Republic of Hungary Dr. Pál Schmitt promoted and appointed generals on March 4 in Sándor Palace. Defence Minister Csaba Hende, Gen. Dr. Tibor Benkő, Chief of MoD Defence Staff and MP Dr. Máté Kocsis, Chairman, Defence and Law Enforcement Committee, National Assembly were also present at the event.
Upon the recommendation of Defence Minister Dr. Csaba Hende, as of March 15, 2011 the President of the Republic of Hungary promoted Maj-Gen. Zoltán Orosz, Deputy Chief of Defence to lieutenant-general and Brig-Gen. László Domján, Director-General, Military Security Office of the Republic of Hungary to major-general. The President also appointed Col. (Eng.) József Négyesi, Deputy Director-General, Military Intelligence Office of the Republic of Hungary to brigadier-general (eng.), and Col. Zsolt Sándor, Commander, HDF 25th ‘György Klapka’ Infantry Brigade to brigadier-general. The documents of appointment were presented by Dr. Pál Schmitt on March 4 in Sándor Palace.
