Change of Command in Camp Novo Selo
Szöveg: Capt. Piroska Kozák | 2016. november 27. 7:00The ceremony marking the handover of authority within the KFOR Multinational Battle Group East Forward Command Post (MNBG-E FCP) and the US contingent recently took place in Camp Novo Selo, Kosovo.
In his speech delivered at the Transfer of Authority ceremony, Col. Ros L. Gammon, Commander, KFOR MNBG-E thanked outgoing contingent commander Lt.-Col. Thomas P. Ehrhart for his work done over the last nine months as commander of a battalion made up of a US, a Hungarian and a Polish company.
The personnel of the US contingent came to Kosovo from the 1st Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division. Lt.-Col. Ehrhart thanked the companies under his command for their outstanding attitude in the last period, and also the Hungarian and Polish contingent commanders for their excellent and effective cooperation that enabled the unit to carry out the joint tasks successfully.
Lt.-Col. Scott Virgil, the incoming commander of the US contingent and the FCP emphasized that the US-led multinational battalion will continue to meet the requirements and the standards of common tactical capability in the next period.
The new US contingent has deployed to Camp Novo Selo from the 1-33 Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division.
