Chinese–Hungarian Defence Strategy Dialogue

Headed by Péter Siklósi, Deputy State Secretary for Defence Policy and Planning, Ministry of Defence, a Hungarian delegation visited the People’s Republic of China between 21st and 23rd September to participate in the second meeting of the annual strategic dialogue program of the two Ministries of Defence. The first meeting was held in Hungary in 2014.

During the discussion, the two sides talked about current issues in bilateral military relations, with special regard to the possibilities of developing cooperation in the fields of education and training. In addition, the partners exchanged views on the most important security policy issues.

Deputy State Secretary Péter Siklósi was received by Gen. Chang Wanquan, State Councilor and Minister of Defence of the People’s Republic of China.

Both sides described the discussions as very useful, and praised the results achieved in developing bilateral military relations.
