In early May, with assistance from Capt. Szilárd Sajtos, Reformed field chaplain, the Hungarian Reformed Church Aid and Dorcas Aid Hungary supported again the work of the Afghanistan-based Hungarian Defence Forces Provincial Reconstruction Team by providing humanitarian aid. The donations in the aid, worth around HUF 500,000, included medical supplies such as wheelchairs, crutches, walking frames, medical sterile gloves, disinfectant kits as well as sanitary kits, sewing machines and articles of clothing.

The aid was transported to the CIMIC/PSYOPS (Civil-Military Cooperation/Psychological Operations) cell of the HUN PRT stationed in Afghanistan, where the personnel will support the local civilians in need.

Under the control of the staff of the HDF Civil-Military Cooperation and Psychological Operations Center, the 39th Battalion of the HDF 5th Bocskai István Infantry Brigade (Debrecen) helped to transport the collected material to the HDF 64th Boconádi Szabó József Logistic Regiment (Kaposvár) where it was stored and prepared for the airlift at a later point. This event is an excellent example of common civil-military goals, as civilians and soldiers were working together to promote the same cause.
