Col. Mikael Christoffersson Visits Podujevo
Szöveg: 1st Lt. Gábor Horváth | 2013. szeptember 9. 9:01Col. Mikael Christoffersson, the Swedish commander of KFOR Joint Regional Detachment-Centre (JRD-C) recently visited Podujevo, the municipality seat in the area of responsibility of the HDF KFOR Liaison and Monitoring Team (LMT).
Col. Christoffersson met Agim Veliu, the mayor of the town. The two discussed the current security situation and the state of economy in the municipality, and the upcoming municipal elections. The Swedish colonel informed the mayor that this October the Swedish contingent would withdraw from Kosovo. After its leave, Italy will probably be chosen as the lead nation of the restructured JRD-C.
At the end of the discussion, the mayor thanked the JRD-C for the work it has done so far, and expressed hope that the so far excellent cooperation between KFOR and the municipality would continue into the future.
