Szöveg: HUN NSE | 2017. május 28. 6:00On 17 May the Hungarian soldiers serving in Mazar-e Sharif, Afghanistan gathered by the Heroes’ wall on a sad occasion.
On 17 May 2011, two of our comrades died in the line of duty in a traffic accident in Baghlan Province. The five-vehicle convoy was heading from Mazar-e Sharif to Pol-e Khomri when an Afghan car drove out from a secondary road in front of the vehicle of the Hungarian Defence Forces Provincial Reconstruction Team (HUN PRT). The mine resistant ambush protected (MRAP) MaxxPro armored fighting vehicle bounced on the shoulder of the road and then rolled over. Posthumous Lieutenant Orsolya Róth, the commander of the vehicle and Posthumous Lieutenant András Dálnoki, the turret gunner lost their lives in the accident.
After a commemorative speech, the soldiers laid a wreath by the memorial tablets of the soldier heroes, and lit candles to pay tribute to the memory of their late comrades.
