Hungarian advisors recently organized a mortar live fire exercise in Afghanistan. During the exercise, the personnel of the Afghan Border Police (ABP) demonstrated their high level of preparedness.

The Hungarian soldiers serving in Mazar-e Sharif, Afghanistan gathered to mark a sad anniversary in the early evening hours on June 10. Two soldiers of the HDF Provincial Reconstruction Team lost their life on this day in recent years.

Eleventh Rotation Starts Working

After a two-month pre-deployment training in Hungary, the members of the 11th rotation of the HDF National Support Element (HUN NSE) deployed to the area of operations at Mazar-e Sharif base (Camp Marmal) in Afghanistan in mid-May.

They Have Received Medals for the Service

In the last days of January, ISAF medals were presented at camp Mazar-e Sharif in the Afghanistan theatre of war. The recipients of the award are those soldiers of the Hungarian Defence Forces serving abroad who have taken part in the peacekeeping operation for the first time.

One Candle Each was Lit for Everybody…

The monument erected to the memory of the heroes in Mazar-e Sharif was lit up by candles in the evening of November 1. The Hungarian soldiers serving in Camp Marmal jointly paid tribute and lit the candles of remembrance at the memorial to their fallen comrades.
