They Have Received Medals for the Service
Szöveg: HUN NSE | 2015. február 18. 9:00In the last days of January, ISAF medals were presented at camp Mazar-e Sharif in the Afghanistan theatre of war. The recipients of the award are those soldiers of the Hungarian Defence Forces serving abroad who have taken part in the peacekeeping operation for the first time.
The medal parade took place in the conference room of the HDF National Support Element (NSE) – Afghanistan, where Col. Péter Balogh, national representative presented the medals. He wished further conscious work and determination for the members of all contingents stationed in Mazar-e Sharif (HDF National Support Element, HDF Force Protection Platoon, HDF Special Operations Contingent) and the soldiers serving in individual staff positions. On behalf of the entire personnel, the colonel presented a certificate of merit to Sedghi “Ben" Behnam, an interpreter who has been doing an outstanding job since 2008 in assistance of the Hungarian contingents.
The Afghanistan engagement continues in this year too. On January 1, 2015, ISAF peacekeeping operations were replaced by NATO’s Resolute Support Mission, which has completely new challenges for the troops.
