The objective of the Shura is to coordinate training activities and to deal cost-effectively with capability shortfalls through mutual use of each other’s strengths. The event was considered important by the Train, Advise Assist Command – North Headquarters (TAAC-N HQ) and was taken seriously by the advisor team that arrived in mid-May. Following the third Shura, the training chief visited the Afghan National Army 209th Corps (ANA 209th CORPS).
After the meeting, under the efficient guidance of the two training advisors – Maj. András Bíró (ABP) and Maj. Attila Kiss (ANA) – a joint training with 82mm mortars was held and closed with a live fire exercise.
Led by Chief Advisor Col. Tibor Talabos, the Hungarian advisory team supervised the preparations, consulted the representatives of the ANA and the ABP on the spot and then watched the live fire exercise.
