Szöveg: Maj. Gyula Harnócz | 2017. június 21. 10:43Fulfilling the invitation of the commander of NFIU HUN, government commissioners Mr. László SIMON (PhD) from Fejér County and Mr. Szabolcs TAKÁCS from Veszprém County visited the unit in Székesfehérvár on 19 June.
The commissioners were accompanied by military experts and were briefed about the tasks and the present status of the unit by the commander; Colonel GARAS. The NFIU’s main mission is to facilitate the reception, staging, onward movement and sustainment of the VJTF and other Allied forces at high readiness levels, therefore the organisation has to closely cooperate with the different national players both from the military and the civilian side in order to ensure the smooth execution of these tasks, including troop movements.
The NFIU plays a coordinating role during military exercises that are conducted within the country, therefore today’s meeting served as a great opportunity to introduce upcoming military exercises, including the ongoing Saber Guardian 2017.
Following the information brief by the commander, the commissioners took a tour of the permanent building of the organisation, visited the Situational Awareness Centre and also met staff members.
