Chinese Delegation in Székesfehérvár

The delegation led by Major General Tian Yixiang, the Director of the Internal Audit Office of the Chinese Central Military Commission (CMC) arrived at the Hungarian Defence Forces Command Headquarters, on 5th April, in the framework of an expert mission.

A two-day professional program was organised by the MoD Internal Audit Department for the group visiting Hungary with a view to learn about the public internal financial control (PIFC) system of the Ministry of Defence at chapter and institutional level. One of the important stages of this program was the presentation of the strategic level internal audit area of the Hungarian Defence Forces (HDF).

The guests were received by Deputy Chief of Staff Brigadier General Zsolt Sándor, the Commander of Székesfehérvár Garrison. In his lecture, Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Géza Torma, the Director of the Internal Audit Directorate gave a briefing on the organisational structure and task system of the Hungarian Defence Forces Command, with special emphasis on the place, role, legal background, legal environment and operational order of the Internal Audit Directorate.

Deputy Director Lieutenant Colonel András Gál talked about the experiences of the establishment and operation of the institutional level internal audit, and also about the system of documents used during the internal control process. Colonel László Zentai, the Commander of the HDF 54th Veszprém Air Surveillance and Control Systems (ASACS) Regiment shed light on the commander’s requirements and experiences concerning the internal auditor’s activity from the leader’s point of view.
