Chinese Soldiers in Hódmezővásárhely

A strategic level Chinese military delegation paid a visit to the HDF 5th Bocskai István Infantry Brigade’ Hódmezővásárhely Garrison at the end of January.

On the part of China, Lt.-Gen. Ma Yiming delegation to Hungary represents the highest level Chinese upper leadership deputation planned for 2019, the objective of which is to familiarize themselves with the Hungarian experiences related to the Command of the Hungarian Defence Forces established on 1st of January, and the joint force command leadership system.

Lt. Gen. Ma Yiming, deputy chief of the Joint Staff Department of China’s Central Military Commission (CMC) visited the Hódmezővásárhely unit as part of the co-operation program of the Chinese and the Hungarian armed forces.

During the visit – in the framework of the briefings – Colonel Balázs Szloszjár, the Commander of the HDF 5th Bocskai István Infantry Brigade spoke about the structure of the unit, and then Deputy Commander Colonel István Tóth presented in detail the history of the Hódmezővásárhely Garrison and the tasks of the subunits stationed in the barracks.

The members of the delegation inspected the vehicle and the armament technique apparatus in service with the unit, and the operation of the command and control system at the command post of the 62nd Infantry Battalion.
