Minister of Defence Dr. István Simicskó stated that the newly procured equipment will not only benefit the people of Hungary, but also make it easier for the staff of the institution to do their work. He noted that the HDF Medical Centre has started several similar successful programs so that the doctors can do their job on the highest possible level. “The society, the nation and the community must hold in high esteem those professions that serve communities", Dr. István Simicskó said, adding that these professions include those of doctors and nurses as well.

The received EU funding is sufficient for replacing 10-33 year old instruments in the Centre. The modern equipment will reduce waiting time before examinations, and lead to a significant saving of energy. The HDF Medical Centre provides health care for 56,000 inpatients and more than one million outpatients per year.
