Assault take-off
The crew of the HAW C-17 SAC 02 were trained in assault landing and take-off at Rena Airfield, Norway. The 1200-meter runway is not so long, but is just enough for the well-trained crew for similar operations. The C–17 is the largest aircraft to have ever landed at this airfield.
