Homecoming and Farewell Ceremony in Szolnok for Soldiers Serving with Foreign Missions

During the event held on Tuesday, March 18, 34 service members to deploy with the Hungarian contingent of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) were bidden farewell, and those returning from individual ISAF positions in Afghanistan and the UN mission in Western Sahara (MINURSO) were welcomed home.
Brig.-Gen. Zoltán Mihócza welcomed the personnel returning home and wished those leaving for foreign missions a quiet service abroad
Brig.-Gen. Zoltán Mihócza, Deputy Chief of Staff of the HDF Joint Force Command gave a welcome speech, and in recognition of their work, presented tokens of appreciation to Maj. Zsolt Pető, Maj. Zoltán Virág, WO Zoltán Balázs, WO Imre Csongor Dancsa and SFC Kálmán Tamás Tömösközy.
The event was attended by Government Commissioner Dr. Mária Kállai and István Szabó, the mayor of Szolnok town with county rights.
