This year it was the 23rd time that the International Defence Film Festival (IDFF), the meeting of filmmakers in uniform was arranged, in Mid-November, in Italy, in the historical town of Bracciano, near Rome.
In response to the question of the honvedelem.hu, General Giorgio Zuchetti, the President of the Festival said that the original idea of the Festival was developed in 1989 by the Italian cultural association “Eserciti e Popoli" (Armies and People), which aimed at analysing and spreading styles, techniques and methods in filming. Following the first year’s success, they continued with this activity, consequently, the military filmmakers could meet – and the productions could compete with each other – for the twenty-third time this year, now at the Historical Archives of the Bracciano City Hall.
