Working in close cooperatin with the CIMIC cell, the US Civil Affairs Team (CAT) has recently carried out the first joint “framework operation". The objective was to make sure in the implementation phase that the American and Hungarian specialists can jointly supervise the US projects under way in the area of responsibility.

The patrols formed a joint convoy and executed their mission in the area north of Pol-e Khomri, visiting the road section at Khoja Alwan in the Dande Ghori region to inspect the renovation works in progress.

They also supervised the ongoing works on the Gaji bridge, which had suffered substantial damage during the flooding after a heavy rainfall. Having completed the mission, the joint Hungarian–US patrol returned to its base in Camp Pannonia.
