Hungarian Victory in the Contest of Nations
Szöveg: kormany.hu | 2012. január 4. 17:11Stationed in the Sinai Peninsula, the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) lays great emphasis on the proficiency and aptitude of the representatives of different nations serving with the mission, and last but not least on teamwork, since the latter has outstanding importance in an international environment where 14 states are represented.
The “contest of nations" takes place twice every year on two special occasions: one is the Force Skills competition, a difficult obstacle course event, while the other is the theoretical and practical Force Driving Skills competition. To test the participants’ skills, the Force Driving Skills competition comprises the following five stations: theory test (Force Road Code, special standing orders for driving), a skilled driving circuit, convoy preparation in the area of operations with immediate action (IA) drill, servicing and wheel change (pre-driving inspection); and first aid on a vehicle accident scene in the area of operations with medical evacuation.
The team of the MFO Hungarian contingent topped the theory test, which was practically a requirement set for them, as the members of the Force Military Police Unit (FMPU) are supposed to know and apply the legal background best. In what followed, the contestants were hoping for a good result, and quite reasonably, as the team of the Hungarian contingent has won the Force Driving Skills competition for the first time!
The members of the winning team at the 2011 Force Driving Skills competition are Police Maj. Dr. Tamás Schultz (team captain), Police Capt. Gábor Püspök, Lt. Dániel Nagy, S/Sgt. László Filó, Police Capt. Dalma Illés (coordinator), SFC István Valki (reserve). Lt. Dr. Tímea Vajdics (doctor of the contingent) and SFC Attila Daróczi (vehicle specialist) assisted the professional training.
