KFOR Tactical Manoeuvre Battalion Change of Command

The ceremony marked the official handover of the post of KFOR Tactical Manoeuvre Battalion Commander from Lieutenant Colonel Jorge Ferreira to Lieutenant Colonel Carlos Macieira.
After six months the Portuguese Mobile Gun System has been replaced by the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Battalion.
Many military authorities representing KFOR contributing nations attended the ceremony.
During his speech, COM KFOR stressed the high level of professionalism and outstanding performance showed by KTM Portuguese personnel during their tour in Kosovo.
KFOR Tactical Manoeuvre Battalion is a unit comprised of Portuguese and Hungarian soldiers, supporting KFOR mandate to ensure freedom of movement and a safe and secure environment in Kosovo according to UN resolution 1244.
