Meeting With the Hungarian Ambassador to Stockholm
Szöveg: Flóra Tisóczki | 2017. szeptember 4. 12:26On Friday, 1 September Minister of Defence Dr. István Simicskó held a discussion in his office with Ms. Dr. Adrien Müller, Ambassador-Designate of Hungary to Stockholm.
During the ambassadorial visit, Dr. István Simicskó said that the governments of Hungary and Sweden have different positions on mass illegal migration and the terrorism that can be related to it, but at the same time, the military-to-military relations between the two countries are without problems, and they have a common interest in preserving and further developing good cooperation.
At the meeting, the delegations reviewed the current state of Hungarian–Swedish defence cooperation, the Gripen program, the main directions of the Zrínyi 2026 national defence and armed forces modernization program, the points of connection in military industry cooperation, and Swedish Defence Minister Peter Hultqvist’s visit to Budapest which is scheduled to take place in the framework of bilateral cooperation at the end of September.
