Military Attachés on the Püspökszilágy Range
Szöveg: Tibor Tamás | 2012. május 8. 9:10On Thursday, May 3 the military attachés accredited to Budapest showed their skills by conducting a target practice with pistols and assault rifles and participating in a duel-shooting on the Püspökszilágy range of the HDF Support Brigade. The MoD Department for International Cooperation (MoD DIC) and the HDF Support Brigade jointly organized the range day for the attachés.
After firing five test and ten evaluated shots, the military attachés accredited to Budapest were to hit the targets with assault rifles from a distance of 100 meters and with P9RC Parabellum pistols from 25 meters. The program followed with duel shooting, which ended with the announcement of the results of the first three best shooters in four categories, namely assault rifle, pistol, duel and all-around.
Lt.-Col. Eduard Zarkov (attaché secretary of the Military and Air Attaché Office of the Russian Federation) was the winner of the assault rifle category, while Col. Ivan Lutsishin (military and air attaché of the Russian Federation) won the gold medal in the pistol and duel categories. Col. Lutsishin was the overall winner too, so he can keep the challenge cup of the HDF Support Brigade until the next attaché range day which will be held in 2013.
Col. József Aulechla handed over the certificates and awards to the medalists, thanking them for attending the range day competition. On behalf of the attachés, Croatian military attaché Col. Darko Kereša, the doyen of the group said thanks for the excellent organization of the program that was conducted in a convivial atmosphere, and handed over a memento to Col. Aulechla.
