NATO Medals for the Kabul Mentors
Szöveg: LMT-8 | 2014. május 27. 9:00Camp Qasaba in the Afghan capital, Kabul recently hosted a significant event. The mission of the eighth rotation of the HDF Logistic Mentor Team (HDF LMT-8) is nearing completion. On this occasion, a NATO medal parade was held in the German Armed Forces Technical Advisory Group (GAFTAG) composed of German, Hungarian and French soldiers, and prizes were awarded for the results achieved at the German Schützenschnur (marksmanship championship).

Besides several invited guests, the event was attended by Antal Dragos, Hungary’s ambassador to Afghanistan. GAFTAG commander Col. Robaszkiewicz and the ambassador pinned the medals on the Hungarian soldiers’ uniforms.
In his short speech delivered after the medal parade, Col. Robaszkiewicz praised the Hungarian mentors’ high professional standards, their good and quick problem-solving skills and the soldiers’ open and friendly behavior, which has deservedly made them members of the famous GAFTAG family.
Maj. László Papp, the commander of the HDF LMT-8 said thanks for the awards, and invited those present to a reception.
