In the morning of October 4, US Army Col. Eric Wendt, the new deputy commander (DCOM) of ISAF Regional Command–North (ISAF RC-North) paid an orientation visit to the HDF Provincial Reconstruction Team (HUN PRT) Camp Pannonia in Afghanistan. The visit was related to the DCOM transfer of authority process at RC-N. In the next few days the new deputy commander visited the bases of the ISAF forces deployed around the northern region to learn more about their tasks.

HUN PRT-11 Commander Col. Dr. Romulusz Ruszin received Col. Eric Wendt and briefed him on the capabilities and taskings of the Hungarian Provincial Reconstruction Team (HUN PRT) whose area of responsibility (AOR) covers Baghlan Province. The new deputy commander was given a picture of the tasks executed to date and those scheduled to be carried out in the coming months. In what followed, the Hungarian commander showed the US colonel around the camp.

Col. Wendt was satisfied to learn that the stabilization efforts made by the Hungarian-led PRT facilitate the handover of the security tasks of the province to the local government organs in the near future.
