New Senior National Representative in Afghanistan

The handover-takeover of the position provided an opportunity to introduce the mentored general of the ABP, who praised Col. Talabos’ high professional standards and activity. In his words, as a result of the work done by the advisory team led by Col. Talabos, a number of unprecedented development projects have been implemented at the ABP 806th Zone HQ. Thanks to the successful cooperation, the commander of the ABP 806th Zone received the new Hungarian advisory team with respect due to old acquaintances, assuring it of his full support.
Besides preparing the Afghan Border Guard, Col. Talabos paid special attention to training the Hungarian contingent and maintaining its fitness level, so as a participant as well as organizer, he played a prominent role in sporting events and live fire exercises held in the framework of the Resolute Support Mission (RSM).
Col. Tibor Talabos handed over the senior national representative’s responsibilities at a ceremony, wishing his successor every success, good health and soldiers’ luck.
