NRDC-ITA Takes Over Standby Duties

Tim Radford, Commander, Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC-UK) handed over the standby duties of the Land Component Command (LCC) of the 18th rotation of the NATO Response Force (NRF-18) to Lt.-Gen. Roberto Perretti, Commander, NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Italy (NRDC-ITA).
The ceremony was held in the presence of Lt.-Gen. Danilo Errico, the Chief of Staff of the Italian Army; Lt.-Gen. Salvatore Farina, Commander, Allied Joint Force Command (JFC Brunssum); Lt.-Gen. Darryl A. Williams, Commander, Allied Land Command (LANDCOM Izmir) and Lt.-Gen. Riccardo Marchio, Commander, Land Forces Command and Army Operations Center (LFC AOC, Rome).
The NRDC-ITA assumes for the fourth time the responsibility of leading the NRF LCC. Besides the framework nation Italy, 12 countries – including Hungary – provide military personnel to the staff of the NRF Land Component Command. The standby period of the Hungarian contingent lasts until the end of 2018.
