Pocket Leaves the Camp
Szöveg: HUN PRT-13 Public Affairs NCO | 2012. december 23. 6:03On December 7 in the early morning hours, SFC Zoltán Mészáros and his dog, Pocket left Camp Pannonia by airlift. This would not matter so much as this was not the first time that they had left the camp, but this time they did so for an unfortunate reason…
In early November, when his master was playing with Pocket in his free time, he noticed a strange swelling on the dog’s abdominal part. He reported this observation to the leadership of the camp, and they sent the dog for an urgent medical examination to Mazar-e Sharif.
There is no veterinary in Mazar-e Sharif, so the dog the diagnosis given there only made it likely that the swelling was a tumor. It was suggested that the dog should be transported home back to Hungary for follow-up examination and treatment.
This day came on December 7. We hope that Pocket is going to start on the way to recovery.
