The government of Afghanistan has designated the Afghan National Security Forces to hand over Camp Pannonia in Pol-e Khomri and to continue operating it.

Ceremonial Staff Meeting on the Occasion of March 15

The 13th rotation of the HDF Provincial Reconstruction Team (HUN PRT-13) held a ceremonial staff meeting on March 15. At the event, the names were read out of the soldiers to receive service medals awarded by the Minister of Defence for their time in service. In what followed, Col. Antal Sipos, the HUN PRT-13 commander presented memorial plaquettes and certificates of commendation.

Smiling Children – Smiling Soldiers

The 13th rotation of the HDF Provincial Reconstruction Team (HUN PRT-13), the Montenegrin platoon and the camp-based police organization (European Union Police Mission, EUPOL) hosted in January and February the children of those working in Camp Pannonia and little residents of the Pol-e Khomri orphanage. First Lieutenant V., the CIMIC officer of the HUN PRT was responsible for organizing the programs.

Aid Distribution for the Last Time

Negotiations Have Started on Handover of Hungarian Camp

The official negotiations on handing over Camp Pannonia in Pol-e Khomri, Afghanistan started on January 23. “We have reached another stage in handing over responsibility for security, which is nothing else but the fourth phase of transition”, Commander Col. Antal Sipos stressed at the press conference.

Pocket Leaves the Camp

On December 7 in the early morning hours, SFC Zoltán Mészáros and his dog, Pocket left Camp Pannonia by airlift. This would not matter so much as this was not the first time that they had left the camp, but this time they did so for an unfortunate reason…

Montenegrin Chief of Defence Visits Camp Pannonia

Lt.-Gen. Samardzic Dragan, the Chief of the General Staff of the armed forces of Montenegro arrived in Camp Pannonia on December 2. This has been his sixth visit since 2010.
