Szöveg: HUN PRT-13 Public Affairs NCO | 2013. március 29. 13:08The government of Afghanistan has designated the Afghan National Security Forces to hand over Camp Pannonia in Pol-e Khomri and to continue operating it.
The Hungarian state is handing over Camp Pannonia in an operable condition to the Afghan government, which has undertaken to operate the compound in the future. The handover of the camp is one of Hungary’s greatest contributions to the creation of an independent and autonomous Afghanistan.
Only those items of equipment will be transported home whose movement does not place heavy financial burdens on the Hungarian Defence Forces, and the weapons and combat vehicles must be transported back to Hungary too because their transfer to another party is usually forbidden by international law. Hungary will hand over to the heads of the local Afghan office free of charge all materiel which would be uneconomical to transport.
The HUN PRT transferred the materiel to the designated organizations in four days. Provincial Governor Mohammad Sultan Ebadi and Gen. Assadullah Sherzad, the local police chief have received one up-armored Toyota land rover each, and the police an up-armored Nissan passenger van. The full equipment of the gym has been given to the Afghan National Army (ANA). The medical centre in the area of the camp has transferred to the local central hospital the special medical supplies and instruments needed to manage daily living (infusion, scissors, Band-aid, disinfectants, dressings etc.)
